Phylum Nematoda, Class Trichinella. Juveniles of Trichinella encysted in muscle can cause trichinosis when they are ingested by eating undercooked pork or other meat. In the intestine, juveniles mature into adults and mate, producing more juveniles, which encyst in muscles.
